1992 – 1998
Ascomex’s first six pioneering years define its identity in a country where private initiative implies taking unknown risks in a state-dependant economy. Ascomex founders enter the international market with chemical, petrochemical and metallurgical products.
The first contacts are made and the collaboration with European counterparts generates the first results. New perspectives emerge and among them, the distribution of special chemical raw materials rises to success. For Ascomex, it’s a period of hard work and development, a consistent phase from all points of view.
1999 – 2006
The economic background slowly improves. Romania recovers from its financial and legislative difficulties, while the local market starts to show its potential. An enthusiastic Ascomex enriches its know-how and acquires new clients. It becomes the local representative of several European companies and switches from general to specialized trading to, tailored on the market’s new profile.
The company also continues to work on its own identity. During all these years, Ascomex explores its potential, refining its abilities and setting up new priorities.
2007 – Today
2007 sums up a 15-year period of experience and innovation, setting new standards in trading reliability. Today, Ascomex is a dedicated platform for international commerce and proposes a three-layer business structure: import products, technology and trading. Clients come from fields such as pharmaceutical, cosmetic, alimentation and bio-chemistry.
In 2005, Ascomex’s revenue summed up to 3,75 million euro. At the end of 2006, the company’s activities would generate a 45% growth, reaching a total revenue of 5,25 million euro.
